We believe that young people in the Bronx need a continuous set of supports to help them towards positive outcomes as they navigate their educational pathway.

Inner-City Arts is a learning oasis in the heart of Los Angeles’ Skid Row where professional artists teach students in a real studio environment.
Takaharu Tezuka, a Tokyo-based architect, designed a revolutionary kindergarten building that not only lets the kids run free, but also teaches them about life. The oval school is two levels with an open space in the middle. It has few walls, but lots of trees growing throughout it. It’s pretty awesome!

My Name is Kumar works primarily with the children and families from the Chengalpattu district in Tamil Nadu. At My Name is Kumar we believe that education is the key to improving the life of children born into poverty and begging.

buildOn’s service learning programs mobilize students in challenging urban areas to lift up their communities through intensive local service. We run service programs at 50 high schools in seven US regions: Chicago, Detroit, New York, the Bay Area, Philadelphia, Boston and Connecticut. buildOn also works in some of the poorest countries on the planet to build schools in villages that have historically had no adequate school structure.
