The Brunello and Federica Cucinelli Foundation was created to expand and develop the objectives and ideals that have formed over the years and nourished the humanist aspirations born in Solomeo.
By restoring the relationship between the birthplace, life and actions of people, the Foundation aims to have a direct influence on human values, understood as being the relationship between people and the various activities in society. Any tool that implements this aim is welcomed and enthusiastically promoted, in the conviction – based on experience that any human expression is a form of culture that must therefore be valued as such. If art – whether figurative, conceptual, musical, theatrical or in any other form falls fully within the objectives of the Brunello and Federica Cucinelli Foundation,no less important is the study and research of modern artisan based humanism that restores the importance of everyday activities when at work, with the family and during leisure. What's more, sport is not secondary to art. The Foundation considers sport a foundation of society and intends to promote and focus on amateur rather than professional sports.
Every contribution of men and women who identify with these ideals is a rich resource that embodies the cultural identity of the Brunello and Federica Cucinelli Foundation.
The Foundation aims to act with humility and consistency in its aspiration to become over time a valued part of Umbrian and Italian culture around the world, worthy of the tradition of our nation.
